I’ve been blessed with the opportunities I have been given. My first full time job, along with three internships have helped me develop skills necessary for the career I’m pursuing. They’ve also allowed me to make connections that have been and will be vital in my career search.

Public Relations & Digital Media Coordinator

Initial Outfitters

  • Manages all social media accounts, creates digital materials and executes advertising through Facebook, AdRoll and other website emails
  • Works closely with founders and independent consultants to execute strategy and with graphic designers to assist with big projects
  • Assists with photoshoots, catalog preparation, national conferences and speaks frequently at corporate events
  • Plans blogs, advertising, website changes and email marketing
  • Communicates electronically with representatives from web developers, Facebook and outside public relations consultants

Strategic Communications Intern

Auburn University Athletics Department

  • Works 15 office hours a week with the social and digital media team and assists with live sporting events (average 25 hours per week)
  • Assists the Sports Information Directors for Auburn Volleyball and Softball, updating the associated social media sites, as well as aids with football gameday activities
  • Produces content for the official Auburn Tigers Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Periscope, etc.
  • Writes articles and conducts interviews with coaches and players for athletics department publication
  • Time-out Coordinator for Auburn Volleyball

Media Relations Student Assistant

Auburn University Athletics Department

  • Staffed sporting events to distribute statistics to attending media, transcribed player quotes of home and visitor teams, and assembled media kits
  • Aided Sports Information Directors with player biographies, entering statistics and updating box scores during weekly office hours
  • Assisted with multiple research projects for various sports
  • Attended weekly press conferences with the head football coach and transcribed speeches

Public Relations Intern

Scarlet & Gold

  • Scheduled, planned and managed product giveaways, pop-up shops with local companies, and monthly gifting to customers, celebrities and public figures
  • Collaborated with other business owners, while solidifying and promoting the company’s image and mission by communicating frequently via email
  • Assisted in planning and running monthly events that included vendors, entertainment, social media promotion and press interviews
